Precautions

When selecting an adhesive tape wrapping machine, the construction party needs to choose wrapping machines of different power models according to the size of the pipe diameter. Generally speaking, pipe diameters below 500mm are one grade, and pipe diameters between 500mm and 1000mm are another grade. Pipe diameters above 1000mm are the third level. If the pipe diameter is above 2000mm, the winding machine needs to be customized. Because these models are generally uncommon, the price of high-power winding machines is generally relatively high.

Use appropriate machinery or hand tools to spirally wrap the tape on the primed pipe according to the overlap requirements. The tape should maintain a certain tension so that the tape layers are tightly connected. When wrapping the tape, the edges of the tape should be parallel and should not be twisted or wrinkled. There should be an overlap of more than 100 mm at the junction of the tapes at both ends. If necessary, apply primer or fully bake on the base film at the end of the previous section of tape. After the surface is dry, overlap the starting end of the other section of tape. The beginning and end should be pressed tightly with a wooden round tool to prevent them from warping.

三. Anti-corrosion pipe protection

3. When stacking anti-corrosion pipes, sandbags or wooden pads should be placed at both ends and in the middle of the pipes to isolate the outer walls of the pipes and the pipe surface from the ground.

4. Anti-corrosion pipes should be buried in the ground in time for use. If they are stored for more than one month, they should be covered with tarpaulin to avoid sunlight and rain. If they are stored for more than half a year, they should be painted with a layer of epoxy coal tar topcoat before use.
